West Craven senior guard Jamie Cherry set a state record by making 12 three-pointers in the Eagles 86-42 win over Triton Wednesday night in the second round of the playoffs.   Cherry finished the game with 52 points and helped her team get back into the third round of the playoffs for the third straight year.

Cherry, who signed to play at the University of North Carolina, moved into third place on the North Carolina all-time scoring list.  She now has 3,119 points which is 41 behind second place Katie Paschal who played for Williamston High School, then at ECU.  Paschal is currently a senior at the University of Mount Olive.
