The duo were two of six ACC players on the Wooden Award preseason list and NC State and Duke were the two league schools with multiple representatives on the list.
Chosen by a preseason poll of national college basketball media members, the list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who, based on last year's individual performance and team records, are the early front-runners for college basketball's most prestigious honor.
Leslie, the preseason ACC Player of the Year, is the Wolfpack's leading returning scorer from last season.
Leslie is the only returning conference player to rank in the top 10 in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage.
Leslie was ninth in scoring (14.7 points per game), rebounding (7.3 per contest) and third in field goal percentage (.525).
Leslie was also a Sports Illustrated honorable mention All-American.
Brown considered one of the country's top point guards, led the ACC in assists last season with 6.3 per game and was the Pack's second leading scorer with 12.7 points per contest.
Brown assist average was the highest since Chris Corchiani averaged 9.6 in 1991.
Both players were preseason All-ACC first-team selections.
Transfers, freshmen and medical redshirts are not eligible for the Preseason Top 50.
The players on the list are considered strong candidates for the midseason list and the official voting ballot, both of which are open to freshman and transfer students.
The National Ballot consists of approximately 20 top players who have proven to their universities that they are also making progress toward graduation and maintaining at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA.
