All ACC team announced

GREENSBORO - The All-ACC first team is released.   NC State's T.J. Warren and Duke's Jabari Parker lead the way as unanimous selections. They are joined by North Carolina's Marcus Paige, Syracuse's C.J. Fair and Clemson's K.J. McDaniels.
The team was announced Monday by the league and chosen by 77 voting members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.
The media members selected Paige as the league's most improved player and Virginia's Justin Anderson as its top sixth-man.

Duke freshman Jabari Parker was named ACC Rookie of the Week for the record-tying 10th time was also named to the Sporting News All-America first team, the publication announced Monday.

Parker, a 6-8 forward from Chicago, Ill., becomes the 42nd Duke player to earn All-America honors and the 28th under head coach Mike Krzyzewski. He is just the second Duke freshman to appear on an All-America squad and was the only freshman on Sporting News' first team. Duke has had an All-America selection in seven consecutive seasons and in 26 of Coach K's 34 seasons.

Coming off of an historic performance in a 93-81 win over North Carolina Saturday in which he totaled 30 points and 11 rebounds, Parker leads Duke with 19.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game to go with an ACC-leading 14 double-doubles. Also an All-ACC first team and ACC All-Freshman Team selection, Parker has a double-double in six consecutive games entering the ACC Tournament.

The Sporting News named University of North Carolina sophomore point guard Marcus Paige a second-team All-America.

The Marion, Iowa, native is ranked in the Top 10 in the ACC in free throw percentage (.876), three-pointers made per game (2.4), assists (4.5), three-point percentage (.395), minutes played (35.56), steals (1.6), scoring (17.1), assist-error (2.1) and field goal percentage (.440).

He scored a career-high 35 points in the overtime win at NC State and also had 32 points in a win over defending NCAA champion Louisville. He scored 21 points in the second half of two games (Kentucky and NC State) and scored in double figures in both of UNC's overtime periods (wins over Davidson and NC State). He has scored in double figures 26 times and has five or more assists 16 times.
