Minnesota coach Kill taken on stretcher
Minnesota coach Jerry Kill was taken off the field on a stretcher at halftime of Saturday's game against Western Illinois.
Kill appeared to have an epileptic seizure. He was lying on the ground, writhing back and forth while surrounded by medical staff as the team headed for the locker room.
The school did not immediately provide an update on Kill's condition.
Kill has epilepsy and has a history of having seizures. He has had at least three on game days since taking over as coach in 2011.
Doctors have worked with him in trying to control his seizures with medication, rest, nutrition and exercise. Kill also had a seizure in the locker room at halftime against Michigan State last November.
