The ECU football team got to enjoy a little off-the-field activities Wednesday night at Rock 'n' Bowl in New Orleans. The players had some heaping portions of jambalaya, then did some bowling.
There were some pretty good rolls from the guys. But the best bowler that the NewsChannel 12 crew saw was starting running back Vintavious Cooper. He only threw out one ball. But he made it count- his ball went right down the middle, knocking down every pin on the lane.
"I saw Tae Cooper, I thought I could out-bowl him. But I saw him bowl a strike... he might be the best bowler in the country," said Coach Ruffin McNeill. "Besides being a great running back, he's a great bowler. That was a good sign right there, seeing that strike by Tae. It made me feel real good. I can sleep good tonight."
Cooper was pretty confident in his bowling abilities, saying during football practice that he would bowl that strike.
