As expected, the Boston Celtics have signed Shavlik Randolph to a multi-year contract. Randolph, who has appeared in three games for the Celtics, was set to have his second, 10-day contract expire until the C's signed him for the remainder of this season as well as holding a team option for the 2013-2014 season. The 6-foot-10 forward has seen limited action for the C's, but did post season-highs in scoring (six points) and rebounds (eight) in Boston's win over Charlotte on March 16. Randolph said that game was a huge boost for his confidence that he would stick. "It was great to get a chance to play decent minutes, show more of what I can do," Randolph told CSNNE.com. "But hey, I know my role and that's to stay ready when called upon if some of the other bigs like Kevin Garnett or Chris Wilcox gets into foul trouble. I just want to help us win whenever I'm called upon; that's all."
