Police say they were hit by a vehicle in Greenville early Sunday morning before the van fled the scene. All four hit were seriously injured and taken to Vidant Medical Center. Police say they are all suffering from serious cuts, bruises, and abrasions.

The group was crossing Memorial Drive near the Waffle House restaurant.

"It all happened so fast," said May. " The boy his head was smooched in and he was just screaming and he couldn't move. His mom her arm was out of place and she couldn't move also she just kept yelling where my son at cause she heard him screaming."

Another person told Channel 12 that one of the teen's foot had been run over, while the other screamed for help.

May says Hamilton and her son were in town for a family reunion.

Witnesses say a mini van, which was traveling southbound in the center lane, fled the scene after hitting all four people. They say the mini van was dark colored.

May shared a message to the driver." I can't believe how you can hit somebody and just keep going. I hope you know this is going to hunt you for the rest of your life," she said.

However, police have further released conflicting information saying that other witnesses claim a 4 door sedan slowed down following the accident, but then sped off. They say it was light in color and had a male driver inside. Police are reviewing footage from traffic safety cameras for more information.
