Investigators make two arrests in a violent Pamlico County home invasion. Pamlico County deputies say they are still looking for two other suspects.
On Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at 1:30 am, investigators responded to a home invasion on Scotts Store Road in the Grantsboro Community.
Four subjects armed with a shotgun entered the residence. Four people were inside the home at the time of the invasion, said deputies. Two of the residents were beaten with a shotgun. One of the victims was transported to Carolina East for injuries that were sustained during the attack, said deputies.
The victims are migrant workers who are here for the tobacco season.
The four suspects took almost $600 in cash from the home, said deputies.
On Wednesday, August 6, 2014, investigators secured a warrant for the arrest of 32-year-old Crystal Lynn Dawson (pictured on the left). Dawson was arrested on August 6, 2014. Dawson is charged with First Degree Burglary, Robbery with Dangerous Weapon and Assault inflicting Serious Bodily Injury. She is being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center on $100,000 secured bond.
On Thursday, August 6, 2014, investigators secured a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Anthony Bragg (pictured on the right). Investigators learned that Bragg may be in the Aurora area and was spotted late Thursday night by Aurora Police for charges out of Pamlico County. Bragg is charged with First Degree Burglary, Robbery with Dangerous Weapon, First Degree Kidnapping and felony conspiracy. He is being held in the Pamlico County Detention Center on $150,000 secured bond.
