KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY - Four former Kinston High School football players are facing several charges, including hazing.
Kinston police said Tykel Lender, 16, Curtis Carr, 17, Jontora Kinsey, 16, and Marquis Williams,18, lured another student into a white Chevy Impala on school grounds after school on Thursday, January 15.
The victim got into the car and noticed Lender had a BB Gun pointed at him, according to police. Officials said the victim tried to escape, but the car doors were locked.
Lender reportedly shot the victim in the arm four times.
The students are charged with hazing, false imprisonment and possession of a weapon on educational property. Lender faces an additional charge of simple assault. A mugshot of Williams was not immediately available.
School officials said the students are facing disciplinary action in addition to criminal charges.
