Havelock, Craven County - Havelock Police have arrested a man allegedly involved in a homicide reported on Cedar Ridge Lane on Friday.
Christopher Lee Godette, 23, of Morehead City has been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Craven County Detention Center without bond. He's facing one count of felony murder in the death of Gerald Price, according to police.
On Friday morning, just after 11 o'clock, Havelock Police responded to 228 Cedar Ridge Lane for a reported shooting. Upon arrival officers found a male victim, identified as Gerald Fitzpatrick Price of Havelock, having multiple gunshot wounds, lying in the front yard of the residence. Price was later pronounced deceased.
Havelock and Morehead City Police worked together and Godette was taken into custody without incident.

Havelock Police have identified a man found shot outside his duplex Friday morning. They say the victim is Gerald Price, 45.
The shooting took place around 11:10 a.m. on 228 Cedar Ridge Lane in Havelock. Officers found Price with multiple gunshot wounds, lying in the front yard of his residence. He was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville by Marine Corps rescue helicopter Pedro.
Officials at Vidant Medical Center confirmed Price did not survive.
"I just left my house for about ten minutes, and I came back and it happened just that fast," said neighbor Arnetta Bloomer. "He walked outside and stumbled and fell in the front yard."
Police are searching for a black Dodge Ram, 2500 series, crew cab pick-up truck with no tailgate; that vehicle was seen leaving the area during the time of the shooting.
Investigators are still searching for a motive but believe the shooting was an intentional act targeting the victim and not a random act of violence.
