NEW BERN -

In an age so dependent on energy, one Craven County school started a program to teach students about being weather and energy savvy.

St. Paul's School in New Bern's E-Tracker program started on February 6. Students were instructed to measure utility meters, track the weather and analyze that data.

The idea for the program was an effort to help kids understand how weather alters how much energy their families' use.

Teachers who participated in the program receive free classroom supplies.
