CRAVEN COUNTY - Strong winds fueled a fire that ruined a Vanceboro-area home Saturday afternoon, according to a fire official.
Crews were called to the 200 block of Wayne Road, off Hwy. 118, Saturday afternoon.
The fire that had started on the back porch of the home was powered by winds, a fire official said.
The two people who lived there are now displaced.
No one was hurt in the fire, which left the home a total loss.
The specific cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
