Silver Alert canceled for missing man in Pitt County

PITT COUNTY -

Pitt County deputies found a man who went missing Thursday night.

A Silver Alert had been issued, but was canceled at about 1:45 a.m. Friday.

Pitt County deputies are searching for a missing, endangered man.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Thomas Wood Jordan, 77, Thursday night.

He is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Jordan is 5'11", 190 pounds, and has blue eyes and grey hair.

He was last seen wearing a ball cap, tan coat, and blue jeans.
 
Deputies say Jordan may have been heading to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was driving a 2007 Lexus with NC license plate number YXY1227.

Anyone with information about Jordan should call the Pitt County Sheriff's Office.
