HAVELOCK, CRAVEN COUNTY - Update: Havelock Police have developed no leads in the arrest of the suspect they say shot a man five times. This information according to Havelock News.
Investigators are looking for 22-year-old Javon Anthony Ward in connection with an early August shooting at the Kelly Park Apartments off Shipman Road. That's where they found 25-year-old Steven Kyle Todd with 5 gunshot wounds in the parking lot.
Since then, police haven't been able to find any leads and no information has come forward despite a reward being offered. Ward was considered armed and dangerous at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call Havelock Police or Crimstoppers. A $1,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to an arrest.

According to investigators, 22-year-old Javon Anthony Ward is wanted for Friday's shooting at Kelly Park Apartments, located on Shipman Road in Havelock. Police said they got the call at about 12:25 p.m. and when they arrived, they found 25-year-old Stevn (sic) Kyle Todd lying in the parking lot
Todd suffered several gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern and was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. As of Monday afternoon, Todd was listed as being in fair condition.
Ward is described as being about 6'1'' and 200 pounds. According to police, the suspect has several tattoos: the word "Savage" above his right eye, a tear drop near his left eye, and the letters "MOB" near his right eye.
Investigators said they believe Ward is hiding in the Newport Havelock area and is armed with a 9 mm handgun believed to have been used during the shooting. The suspect has a history of running from authorities, assault and weapon charges, according to police.

Those with details can also call the Craven County Crime Stoppers at (252) 633-5141. Information that leads tot he suspct's arrest could result in a cash award of up to $1,000.
Mark Woods said he was watching T.V. at his sister's apartment when the shooting happened.
"I heard several gun shots, fairly loud," Woods said. "So you know how it is, you hunker down a little bit and then you look out the window to see if you see anything going on, and that's what I did."
John Kreuper said he has lived at Kelly Park Apartments for a little more than a year. He said this type of crime worries him because many families live in the apartment complex.
"It happens and it happens frequently with people coming in and out," Kreuper said. "You kind of sleep with one eye open if you know what I mean."
