A Craven County sex offender is sent back to prison.

District Attorney Scott Thomas says Kenneth Boston pleaded guilty to failing to comply with sex offender registry requirements.

After being released from prison in April for probation violations, Boston was required to update his sex offender registration with the Craven County Sheriff's Office but failed to do so.

He was sentenced to a prison term of 19 to 32 months.

Boston was originally convicted in 2009 of taking indecent liberties with a child.
