A chain-reaction wreck involving four vehicles in Greenville sent several drivers to the hospital Friday morning.
According to Greenville Police, a green Mazda SUV was traveling down County Home Road and heading toward the intersection of Fire Tower Road and Arlington Boulevard at about 8:46 a.m. Friday. That was when it hit the back of a white Honda, which spun out of control and hit the back of a black SUV, which then ran into a Nissan Xterra, investigators said.
The Mazda that started the wreck went across Fire Tower Road and ended up in a grassy area, said police.
Some of the people in the vehicles suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital, according to investigators.
The Mazda driver may face several charges, police told NewsChannel 12. There was no word on what caused the Mazda to initiate the chain-reaction wreck.
County Home Road and the intersection of Fire Tower Road and Arlington Boulevard were closed in the area of the accident, but have since reopened.
