Second suspect arrested in butcher knife robbery

Pitt County deputies arrest a second suspect they say was involved in a robbery in which a butcher knife was used as a weapon.

A woman told investigators she and her two small children had just arrived home on January 3 when someone robbed her in her front yard on Alexander Brown Road.

Investigators arrested one suspect on January 3.

A second suspect, Wren Wilkins, 41, of Robersonville, NC, was arrested Friday.

Wilkins is charged with conspiring to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon.

He was placed placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.

Deputies say additional warrants may be issued.
