A new television ad from Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney features the owner of a small business Romney visited the day after he announced Rep. Paul Ryan would join his ticket.

"I'm disappointed in Barack Obama as my president," Melanie McNamara says in the spot.

Romney and Ryan visited the company she owns - Absolute Style Furniture in North Carolina - the day after they joined forces as the Republican ticket, where Romney spoke about the importance of small businesses.

"We have to champion small business in this country. We got to make sure that we keep our taxes competitive and we keep our regulators encouraging businesses, not crushing them," he said, also vowing to "repeal and replace" President Barack Obama's health care law.

In the ad, McNamara said that under Obama, the economy has not prospered, while a statistic on the screen reads, "Since President Obama took office, there are over 450,000 more unemployed women."

She says she supports Romney this year after voting for Obama in 2008 because "being a woman, you think about your children and you think about their future. And what I want to think about is a future that has jobs. That our economy's growing again. That's important to women and it's important to me."

The ad prominently features the woman from North Carolina, which is rated on the CNN Electoral Map as a toss up state. Romney has faced what some have called a gender gap in support, and the most recent CNN/ORC International poll of likely voters nationwide, which was released before Wednesday's presidential debate, found Obama had a nine point lead among women.

The Romney campaign has not said how much they are spending nor where the ad will run. But CNN reported Friday that the Romney campaign and RNC have bought over $12 million of ad time in nine battleground states for the coming week.
