(CNN) -- President Barack Obama said Tuesday that Republican ideas for avoiding forced budget cuts "ask nothing" from the wealthiest Americans or big corporations, adding that the GOP prefers having the reductions take effect instead of having "a single tax loophole" disappear for those who don't need it.
