President Barack Obama's newest ad, released Saturday morning, makes the case for a second term by telling the audience the work of his first term is not finished.

The ad, titled "Challenges"

"Four years later our enemies have been brought to justice. Our heroes are coming home. Assembly lines are humming again," Freeman

and narrated by actor Morgan Freeman, begins: "Every president inherits challenges; few have faced so many." It goes on to detail Obama's accomplishments from his first term. says in the spot.

But, he says, "the last thing we should do is turn back now." Then the president's slogan "Forward" appears on the screen.

The ad echoes some of the reasons Freeman listed earlier this year for supporting the president, in a statement following the actor's $1 million donation to Priorities USA Action, a super PAC supporting the president.

"Pres. Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances," Freeman wrote.

"He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court."

Freeman also donated $2,300 to Obama ahead of the 2008 election, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.

In a statement following the most recent donation, Freeman wrote that he was "proud to lend my voice -- and support -- to those who defend him. Priorities USA Action is doing a great job of protecting the values I believe in. I am happy to help them and I hope others will join me."
