Police said they have arrested two men who committed an armed robbery at an insurance agency in Washington County.
According to Plymouth Police Chief Steve O'Neal, officers caught 24-year-old Rashawn Durrell Owens and 35-year-old Willie Joseph McNair at about 11 a.m. Monday at an abandoned home at the corner of Thomas Street and Little Court.
Police said the two men were responsible for an armed robbery and kidnapping on Nov. 18 at Pamlico Insurance, located at 107B Washington Street in Plymouth.
Police said only one of the men entered the business and threatened a person working there. The other suspect was the getaway driver, said investigators.
The owner of Pamlico Insurance, Wiley Woolard, told NewsChannel 12 his son was the person who was robbed.
"He did actually struggle the knife away from him one time," said Woolard. "That's when he got cut. He did get cut behind the ear."
Both suspects have been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping.
Owens (pictured left) was also wanted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office for failing to register as a sex offender, according to investigators.
