Police: Suspects steal wallet, make $1K in purchases

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Greenville Police said they are looking for three suspects who stole a wallet to make almost $1,000 in purchases.

According to investigators, the suspects stole the wallet from a shopping cart at a Walmart on Greenville Boulevard, while the victim's back was turned. The crime happened on July 20, police said.

The suspects took cash, credit and debit cards, checks and other items from the wallet to make purchases that totaled almost $1,000, police said. The victim's cards were also used at a WilcoHess station near North Campus Crossing and at Rose Nails before the victim canceled the cards, according to investigators.
