KINSTON, LENOIR COUNTY -

Police are investigating a second shooting into a home in Kinston this week.

The Kinston Department of Public Safety said the latest shooting happened at about 11:37 p.m. Tuesday at 2006 Northview Dr.

When officers arrived, they found several shell casings on the roadway in front of the home, which had four bullet holes in its garage door, said police. Three bullets also passed through the home's wall and struck the brick wall of another residence at 2008 Northview Dr.

No one was hurt, police said. At last check, no arrest was made. The investigation is ongoing.

Less than 24 hours before the shooting on Northview Drive, shots were fired into another Kinston home.

Investigators said someone fired several shots at a home at 1503 Perry Park Drive, near Fairfield Park, at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

There were people in the house, but no one was hurt, police said. No arrest was made at last check.
