FARMVILLE, PITT COUNTY -

Police are looking for a man they say committed an armed robbery at a salon in Farmville.

Trayvond Melvin Atkins, 19, of Farmville, is believed to be responsible for the armed robbery at the P&P Salon, said Farmville Police.

On June 26, the suspect used a handgun to break the front door glass, but cut his right hand in the process, police said.

Investigators said Atkins robbed the salon's owner and a customer at gunpoint, taking money and personal property. Atkins then left the scene on foot, said police.

Investigators said Atkins is wanted on two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping. He is described as being about 6-foot-4 and between 150 to 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on Atkins' whereabouts is asked to call the Farmville Police Department at 252-753-4111.
