Police search for suspects in armed Waffle House robbery

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - Greenville Police said they are searching for two armed robbers who held up a Pitt County Waffle House.

According to investigators, two young men entered the Waffle House at 306 Greenville Blvd. SE just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. One was wearing a black hoodie and the other was wearing a red hoodie, police said.

The men were armed with handguns and demanded money, said investigators. They made off with an unknown amount of cash.

Police said no one was hurt.

K-9 units were called in to track the robbers, said investigators. But the dogs lost the scent near the back of the building, where police believe a vehicle was waiting to pick the men up.
