Police search for suspect in Family Dollar armed robbery

BEULAVILLE, DUPLIN COUNTY - Police say they are looking for a robber who held two Family Dollar clerks at gunpoint in Duplin County.

The armed robbery happened at about 9 p.m. Sunday at the Family Dollar at 404 West Main St. in Beulaville.

Police said the man held two store clerks at gunpoint after the store closed. But there was no word on how much money was stolen.

Investigators described the suspect as a white male wearing a dark-colored long sleeve shirt, dark pants, a mask, and a black cap with a yellow logo. They believe the suspect is between 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10. A video of the suspect is shown above.

A reward will be offered for information leading to an arrest.
