JACKSONVILLE - Jacksonville Police are searching for a fourth suspect in the beating of a young Onslow County woman.
Police said 33-year-old Darren Skinner is wanted on assault and kidnapping charges.
Three other suspects, 28-year-old Chris Jones, 29-year-old Harry Northington and 24-year-old Sarah Baglioni have already been arrested.
Police say the four were involved in the assault of a 21-year-old woman who was brutally beaten for hours inside a Jacksonville home.
Police are releasing limited details on the incident, but the victim's mother her daughter was babysitting for Jones and his girlfriend Baglioni at their home on Cox Avenue last month. The mother said they accused her daughter of stealing a safe from the bedroom.
"They interrogated her for two hours by pulling her hair, slapping her in the face with a butcher knife, cutting her on the back," she said. News Channel 12 is withholding the names of the mother and victim for privacy reasons.
The mother said her daughter will need reconstructive surgery on her nose. The suspects also threatened the victim, causing her to leave town in fear of her life.
"They told her they would kill her and would cut her tongue out if she contacted any type of authorities," the mother said.
The three men involved are charged with first degree kidnapping, among other charges.
Baglioni, who apparently had the victim's phone during the incident, is charged with interfering with emergency communications. She is out of jail on bond.
Onslow County Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to Skinner's arrest.
