SURF CITY, ONSLOW COUNTY -

Police are reconstructing a car crash that killed a 92-year-old man in Surf City.

Both the Surf City and Jacksonville Police Departments are working together Thursday morning to figure out what caused the accident that killed 92-year-old Ralph Anderson, of Holly Ridge. The wreck happened at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 50, in front of the Food Lion in Surf City.

According to investigators, a woman driving eastbound crashed into Anderson's car. That driver suffered minor injuries.

But witnesses are giving conflicting information on the accident, investigators said. As a result, Surf City Police teamed up with Jacksonville Police to reconstruct the wreck.

Anyone with details on the crash is asked to call the Surf City Police Department at
