GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - A Greenville man is taken into custody Saturday after police say he shot at an occupied house.
Police say 23-year-old Gregory Rondall Spencer shot into the side of a home near the block of 2600 Meridian Drive in Greenville around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
They say Spencer tried to run away, but officers caught and arrested him near Whitaker Drive.
A resident in the area, Charles Worthington, said he has seen Spencer walking around, but never with a gun.
"I don't know him like that, but I always see him walking around all the time looking lost," Worthingon said.
Official records show Spencer is being charged with, go armed to terror the people, possession of a stolen firearm; carrying a concealed weapon; possession of marijuana up to half an ounce; possession of drug paraphernalia; two counts of resisting a public officer; possession of a stolen firearm, discharging a firearm in the city; and discharging a weapon occupied.
He is being held at a $550,000 secured bond.
No one was injured in the incident.
