NEW BERN -

Police released the identity of the suspect they arrested in connection with a KFC attempted robbery in New Bern.

Nicholas Delucca was arrested a couple of blocks from the KFC at 2212 Neuse Boulevard, Friday night. Police said he ran on foot from the restaurant and was pursued by an officer before being arrested.

Police found a knife on Delucca, but aren't sure if it was used in the robbery. No one was hurt and police said no money was taken.

He is charged with armed robbery and resist, obstruct, and delay an officer. He's being held on $25,000 bond.

One person is under arrest in connection with a robbery attempt in Craven County.

Police said someone tried to rob the KFC restaurant at 2212 Neuse Blvd. Friday night at 10:05.

A short time later they arrested a suspect nearby.

At this time it's unclear who the suspect is or if a weapon was used in the attempted robbery.
