GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY -

Police say a gang member was shot in Greenville Tuesday night.

According to the Greenvillle Police Department, 24-year-old Marlon Lamont McMillan Jr. was shot in the front yard of his home on Riggs Lane.

McMillan was shot in the leg, said police. He was treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.

Investigators said McMillan is a validated Crips gang member and has an extensive criminal history.

Police said it appeared an argument may have led to the shooting, but the victim remains uncooperative.
