Police: Driver ejected in Greenville wreck

GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - A driver was ejected in a two-vehicle wreck in Greenville Thursday morning, police said.

It happened at the intersection of County Home Road and Old Fire Tower Road just before 10 a.m. Witnesses told police that a Chevy Tahoe traveled through the intersection without stopping, then crashed into a brown Ford car. The driver of the S.U.V. was ejected, according to investigators.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital, but investigators did not explain the extent of their injuries. Their identities were not released.

Charges are pending in this case, police said.
