PITT COUNTY - Greenville Police said 41-year-old Donald Ray Baker II is charged with selling cocaine and growing marijuana in his home on Oakmont Drive.
That's right around the corner from where he works at his dad's business called East Carolina Hair Clinic.
Adam Stokes works at the dental lab nearby.
"It seemed like he was a really down to earth cool guy not the kind to get in a lot of trouble like he is," Stokes said.
Baker's neighbors wanted to remain anonymous but tell us he is a friendly man and always had an open door policy. He even planned "Sunday Fun Days" for people living in the area.
They said he lives alone and they never noticed any strange activity going on at his townhouse.
However, according to these warrants investigators with the Greenville police department have been looking into him for a few months beginning in March of this year.
The clinic has closed down since Baker's arrest. It is scheduled to reopen on Monday.
According to warrants, Baker is charged with four counts of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances; four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; four counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; three counts of selling cocaine; three counts of delivering cocaine; possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana; and manufacturing marijuana.
He is being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a 250,000 dollar bond.
He is due back in court May 24.
