WILSON & PITT COUNTIES - Police said they have arrested a man who tried to rob two McDonald's restaurants while he was at the drive-thru windows.
Jason Scott Chrismon, 39, of Washington, was arrested and jailed in Wilson, police said Friday afternoon.
According to investigators, Chrismon pulled up to the drive-thru window of a McDonald's in Wilson Thursday and tried to rob the restaurant. He was arrested shortly after by Wilson Police.
Before the attempted robbery in Wilson, Chrismon tried the same thing at a McDonald's in Pitt County-- the one on Cooperative Way in Farmville, police said.
Chrismon pulled up to the drive-thru window and paid for his order at about 5:25 p.m. Thursday, said investigators. While the clerk was counting bills, the suspect told her to give him the money from the cash drawer, claiming he had a gun, said police.
The clerk ran from the window and Chrismon drove off, police said. No one was hurt and no money was stolen.
Police said they are looking for a man who tried to rob a McDonald's restaurant while at the drive-thru window.
It happened at the McDonald's on Cooperative Way in Farmville at about 5:25 p.m. Thursday.
According to Farmville Police, a man, described as a white male in his 30s with short brown hair, pulled up to the drive-thru window and paid for his order. While the clerk was counting bills, the man told her to give him the money from the cash drawer, claiming he had a gun, said investigators.
The clerk ran from the window and the man drove off, police said. His car is described as a late 1990s or early 2000s Chevrolet S-10 extended-cab pickup truck. The vehicle had a silver tool box in the back (CLICK HERE to view a photo of the suspect's vehicle).
No employees were injured in the attempted robbery, and the man did not get away with any money, police said.
