Pitt County Sheriff Deputies are asking peanut farmers around eastern Carolina to check the security of their equipment.
Back in February, Wesley Allen Warren, 22, was arrested for stealing three peanut trailers from Pitt, Bertie, and Martin counties, and passing them off as his own.
All but one of those trailers have been returned to their rightful owners, but that last one is scheduled to be crushed this weekend.
The trailer is worth more than $1000.
Deputies are looking for the owner of that unclaimed trailer before it's destroyed this weekend.
Those with information are asked to call Pitt County Sheriffs Deputies.
The owner of the missing trailer can call Detective Shane Guthrie at (252) 902-2823, or (252) 802-4141 with a detailed description of the trailer so it can be returned before it is destroyed.
