Obama to visit Mooresville school for NC stop

MOORESVILLE, N.C. - President Barack Obama is visiting a Charlotte-area middle school that's been praised for its curriculum promoting digital learning.

The Obama administration says the president will visit Mooresville Middle School on Thursday afternoon to make remarks and see what it calls the school's cutting-edge curriculum.

The school is part of the Mooresville Graded School District, where Mark Edwards was named superintendent of the year by the American Association of School Administrators.

The White House announced last week that Obama would make the Charlotte-area the latest stop of his "Middle-Class Jobs and Opportunity Tour." He's already visited Austin, Tex., and Baltimore.
