GREENVILLE, PITT COUNTY - The Pitt-Greenville Airport will be getting 10 new hangars for private planes.
A groundbreaking took place Tuesday morning.
When the 10 new hangars are completed, Pitt-Greenville Airport will have 20 hangars in all. The total cost for all 20 hangars is $1.4 million, all coming from the airport's revenue, said Jerry Vickers, the airport's executive director.
The building that will house the 10 new hangars is expected to be completed in 4 to 5 months, said Vickers.
