New Bern Police arrest driver after chase

NEW BERN, CRAVEN COUNTY - New Bern Police arrested a man they say led them on a chase Sunday afternoon.  Edwuan Tuschan Gibbs, 38, faces several felony charges.

Officers say they found Gibbs's car when they responded to a call at the home of a woman believed to be his girlfriend.  They learned Gibbs was wanted on several charges including felony breaking and entering.

They say Gibbs got into a car and tried to leave the area, turned into the Tucker Creek Subdivision in Havelock, and jumped from the vehicle.  Officers caught him after a short chase.

New charges against Gibbs include driving with a revoked license.
