NEW BERN, CRAVEN COUNTY -

The following is a news release from the New Bern Police Department.

The below listed persons were arrested by the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team as the result of a six-month campaign targeting the illegal sale of crack cocaine and other controlled substances in the Main and Green Street area of New Bern.

Michael Deshawn Johnson, B/M DOB: 11-15-81 of the 900 block of Meadows Street in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 8, 2014 for 2 counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine). Johnson was held on a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Beverly Fisher, B/F DOB: 07-18-57 of Craven Terrace in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 8, 2014 for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine) and conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine).  Fisher was held on a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Carlton Eugene James, B/M DOB: 06-21-64 of the 1700 block of High Street in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 8, 2014 for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, and sell and deliver marijuana.  At the time of his arrest James was found to be in possession of additional marijuana and was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.  James was held on a $10,000.00 secured bond.

Kenneth Waters, B/M DOB: 12-16-76 of the 900 block of Pavie Avenue in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 8, 2014 for 2 counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana.   Waters was held on a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Robert Lee Henderson, B/M DOB: 12-20-70 of the 900 block of Green Street in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for 3 counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II (crack cocaine), 3 counts of sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine), and 3 counts of conspiracy to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine).  Henderson was held on a $150,000.00 secured bond.

Aron Dijon Nyamuchia, B/M DOB: 12-27-92 of Trent Court in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine). Nyamuchia was held on a $5,000.00 secured bond.

Raquan Ladaryus Bryant, B/M DOB: 02-03-97 of the 100 block of JaLilly Drive in Vanceboro was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance (crack cocaine). At the time of his arrest Bryant was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Bryant was held on a $2,500.00 secured bond.

Cleo Edward Fisher, B/M DOB: 03-15-41 of the 800 block of Green Street in New Bern was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.  Fisher was held on a $1,000.00 secured bond.

Additional arrests are expected to follow as a result of this campaign.

In addition to the above arrest, task force agents arrested the following subjects in separate investigations.

Erin Elizabeth Rhodes, W/F DOB: 05-08-87 of the 400 block of Iris Lane in Trenton was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for 2counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud/forgery. She was held on a $500.00 secured bond.

Jason Lee Carmichael, W/M DOB: 04-23-76 of the 300 block of McCotter Blvd in Havelock was arrested without incident on January 9, 2014 for possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone) and sell and deliver of schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone). Carmichael was held on a $2,500.00 secured bond.
