NC authorities find disabled veteran's motorcycle

The veteran and his wife were en route to Florida for their honeymoon

FAYETTEVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY - A disabled veteran whose motorcycle was stolen from a Cumberland County home prior to going on his honeymoon now has his ride back.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Robeson County sheriff's deputies found the Harley Davidson Heritage Softail intact in a wooded area and returned it for safe keeping until Calvin Teeple could come back to get it.

Teeple picked up the bike on Friday.

Authorities said the 66-year-old Teeple of White Mills, Pa., was in the Hope Mills area last month when the bike was stolen while it was secured on a trailer which was parked in his son-in-law's driveway during a visit. The sheriff's office said Teeple and his wife were en route to Florida to celebrate their marriage.
