A University of Utah student paid his tuition bill with 2,000 one-dollar bills as a way of protesting against the rising cost of college.

21-year-old Luq Mughal collected the dollars from various local banks and delivered them to the office this week, The Associated Press reported.

Undergraduate in-state tuition rates have more than doubled in Utah over the past 10 years. Mughal is able to benefit from reduced payments because his father is a faculty member. Still, as tuition rates continue to increase so does the struggle for students to pay for their degrees.
