Landslides killed at least 15 people and trapped others overnight in northern India, authorities said Friday.
More than 20 people are feared trapped by the landslides.
The landslides occurred in Rudraprayag district of the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.
Heavy rains drenched the mountainous area, triggering the landslides, said Piyoosh Rautela, director of the state's disaster management department.
Authorities have dispatched emergency crews to the rain-soaked district.
