Blood-stained cricket bat found at Pistorius'

Detectives investigating the death of South African model Reeva Steenkamp are examining a blood-stained cricket bat found at the home of her boyfriend, Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius, South African media reported on Monday.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the bat was used to attack Steenkamp, or whether she used it to defend herself.

In addition, detectives are looking at whether Pistorius used the bat to break down a bathroom door to get to a seriously injured Steenkamp, local media reported.
