Bad news: Your Facebook page is likely about to slow down. Good news: The change will help keep online thieves away. According to a recent blog post, Facebook is in the process of moving all of its users in North America -- and soon the rest of the world -- to a type of Internet connection that is more secure but also tends to slow down Web browsing a bit. Called HTTPS, it's the connection you see on online retail sites when you're about to enter credit card information or a password.

But that didn't stop the snarky headlines after it was discovered that a buggy app in the new version of Google's mobile operating system omits the month of December. The People app lets users bookmark friends' birthdays and other important dates on a calendar. But some users of Android 4.2, the system's newest update, are complaining they can't note December dates in the app because its calendar skips from November to January. December simply does not exist.

Exact fuel economy figures for the 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine, which will be small enough to fit inside a piece of carry-on luggage, are not available yet, however.

JPMorgan Chase named Marianne Lake as its new chief financial officer Monday. She will succeed Douglas Braunstein. Lake had served as the CFO of JPMorgan Chase's consumer and community banking business and will transition into her new role in early 2013. Braunstein, who had been widely expected to step down by year-end, will become the bank's vice chairman.
