RALEIGH, WAKE COUNTY -

Moral Monday protestors did not taking this holiday off, instead they are using it as a rallying point.

Union and civil rights leaders rallied Labor Day in support of workers rights.

The #TalkUnion tour kicked off Monday in downtown Raleigh and is making stops in Greensboro and Charlotte.

Marybe McMillan is a with the labor organization AFL- CIO and said the rally is all about raising awareness in the fight for more pay.

"CEOs are making 300 times the average worker. Corporate profits are the highest they have been in 85 years. We can afford to pay workers a living wage," said McMilian.

The group said they will continue to push for worker's rights.
