The deadline is coming up for military couples to apply for a free wedding worth $17,510.
"Operation Marry Me Military" has teamed up with Open Aperture Photography to give military couples free weddings on Veterans Day. This year's event will be held at Tryon Palace in downtown New Bern, just like last year's (see photos, courtesy of Open Aperture Photography).
The winning couple will have everything paid for, including photography, food, the D.J., and even the cake.
The contest is open to any military couple, as long as at least one of the two people is active-duty. To apply, visit www.ommm-craven.com. All applications must be postmarked by July 30, 2013.
