The M.C.A.S. Cherry Point Commissary will host its annual Special Olympics Tuesday.
The games will start at 10 a.m. with events like turkey bowling, a scavenger hunt and pie eating contests, according to a news release.
A Marine Transportation Squadron 1 rescue helicopter called "Pedro" will be on display for athletes and spectators. Additional activities include face painting, live entertainment and free food.
More than 100 Marines, sailors and civilians are expected to volunteer in support of the event.
