Two charged in shooting near park
Greenville Police have charged a man and woman in connection with a Sunday shooting.
Authorities say the incident happened at the corner of Kennedy Circle and Bradley Street, that's near South Greenville Park. Police say people in two cars at that intersection got into an argument at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.
Investigators say 21-year-old Shelton Arrington was shot during the confrontation; Arrington was hit several times in his legs and upper body, police said. He was listed in serious condition Monday morning.
Monday afternoon, officers arrested 21-year-old Kayron Monk, also called “Trey 50.” Monk is being charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. He is jailed at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond.
Police also arrested 23-year-old Tiera Blow. She's facing an accessory after the fact to a felony charge. Police say Blow attempted to deliberately mislead the criminal investigation and hide Blow from law enforcement.
