ONSLOW COUNTY -

An Onslow County man has admitted to having child pornography on his laptop, which he later sold to a pawn ship.

Wesley Bart Metcalf, 36, pleaded guilty to seven counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor Tuesday in Superior Court, said Assistant District Attorney Jamie Atkins.

Atkins said Metcalf sold his laptop containing child porn to a pawn shop. The laptop was then turned over to authorities once child porn photos and videos were found, Atkins told NewsChannel 12.

Atkins said the dates of the offense were between February and March 2010.

Metcalf has not been sentenced yet because the judge ordered a mental evaluation and diagnosis, said Atkins.
