Troopers have identified the man killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Duplin County early Sunday morning.
According to investigators, 24-year-old Jhonson Estime, of Dudley, was driving northbound on Highway 117 outside of Faison at about 5 a.m. Sunday. That was when he somehow crossed left of center, lost control, and hit a tree, troopers said. Estime died from his injuries.
Troopers said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, and the victim was not exceeding the speed limit. He was also wearing his seat belt.
